Look closely at the sign the guy in the center is holding up.
That’s right, looks like he’s a double agent. I found it at Calamities of Nature who discovered it at Overcompensating. Being webcomic places, they resonate to "the funny." And this one has the key component of funny. Namely, juxtaposition of the unexpected.
You know how there’s a current trend to do live action remakes of comic books in the film world? The "take a comic book like Spiderman and put it up on screen with humans" thing? Well, this pic reminds me of the same kind of deal but done with political cartoons. It’s a political cartoon done in live action. Really live action.
But … is it? Real, that is. I’m not so sure. Notice how his fingers don’t overlap the sign – they basically stop at the sign edge. His right hand doesn’t seem to even get to the edges. Being a photoshop kind of guy, well, it makes me wonder. Not enough to really look into it, of course, ’cause I’m lazy too.
Either way — it’s still funny.
