Yeah … that must be why my office has always been a mess!
Your explanation is sooo much more elegant than the one I've always fallen back on (attributed to Einstein), "If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, what does an empty desk signify?"

Beats me! Is your desk IN your office?
Don't have a desk (wife took it over for her desk) I have to use the table, which is always a mess, because it is EVERYBODY'S drop spot. ARRRGHHHH!!! don't get me wrong, I don't mind the curves of nature, but I like to have my space/things more organized…..
