Someone decided to hack Nicky510 last night and cause pain and suffering to all. The good news is that they’ve now been de-hacked. Nicky510 was a couple of days out of date for a few hours as I expunged the old files and uploaded new (and hacking-free) files. It’s all finished now and hopefully visitors to Nicky510 and subscribers to the DailyDose are again happy campers.

Crow, could you expand a bit more on this. What happened, how you discovered and what you did to cure and prevent future jackings??
Some chines p.nks had hyjacked my MSN account some time ago. That was an ordeal to handle.

Sure. I discovered it by my browser immediately putting up a screen "warning – this site contains malware!" when I went to nicky510. Both Safari and Firefox gave warnings, albeit different ones. Somehow, and I'm still don't know how, someone appended a line of code to some of my php files. I think they were designed to give him incorrect hit data (so he'd get more pay from his advertisers). Not sure though.
First solution was to remove the line of code. But I wasn't sure if there was more that I hadn't found so I trashed the entire site folder and uploaded a clean version from a backup. Two days later it happened again. So I repeated the previous actions , changed all the passwords and added a security plugin. So far (3 days later) no more problems.
Wow, so he had your WordPress login? Scary! how often do you backup your site folder?
I try to backup every day. But I fail. So, maybe every other day or so.
