I was shocked, shocked I say, to discover that Mark Twain didn't make up his characters but took them lock, stock, and barrel from his youth. Friends and neighbors all placed right into his books. Guess it helps to have interesting friends and neighbors when you're growing up.
In less than three days I'll be rockin' and rollin' at APE. Looks like a whole bunch of web toonists will be filling the venue too. Should be a blast. ComiCon is fun but so very oriented toward the big guys (Marvel/DC/networks) that the humble comic creators get a bit lost in the shuffle. Not [...]
