You know, the sound developers’ initial probe sound was rejected and they were told a probe should go “wub-wub-wub,” so they literally did that into a mic and just tweaked the sound. Amazing, no?
By the way, does the 2012 date of this discovery have any relation to the Mayan-predicted apocalypse?
I did not know that. I’ve recently heard a sound as I was out and about that was very much akin to that probe but I can’t recall exactly what it was at the moment.
