You cannot convince a child who knows everything that he really has no clue, so you just have to let them learn it on their own, the hard way. Pain can be a very effective teacher.

as Willy Wonka put it young people are quite springy, I agree with this while I note their flexible and energetic nature as well as the ability to get into but not out of tight spaces especially the one called trouble
