I also do not watch the news for I have taken heed of the warning of the webcomics of which I read and feel that I already know too much of the world even just by listening to other people
Yah… the news bombards us constantly with not only bad news, but the rehashing of the bad news… if you keep bringing it up, it never goes away. Focus attention on happier things…
Eddie Murphy did an excellent piece on this. Our family response during "major made for TV news disasters" tends to go along the lines of "Buckwheat is dead, Buckwheat has been shot, News at 11, Buckwheat is still dead".
Serves to help lighten up and turn away from the road accident that is TV news reporting.
Funny, I say the same thing!!
You're a wise man!
Same here

Unfortunately that's my Bread and Butter, got to watch the news.

That's what I try to do!
Yep, the continuous rehash.

I don't watch TV, period.
A very wise move!
I can’t do that I love my Saturday morning cartoons and America’s Got Talent too much
