   I have little sympathy for Lex here. He should really watch where he's going. If he hasn't mastered the art of reading while paying attention to the ground in periphery, then he should, at the very least, look up from the book when he's anywhere near stairs (and Nicky).

      The same way a magician turns a small, white handkerchief into a long, multicolored scarf. Sleight of hand. The panel is quicker than the eye.

      Seriously, I don’t think there’s any connection between the previous strip’s firework and this one’s string.
