very FIRST episode: lana lang, the girl clark kent has the BIGGEST CRUSH EVER on, is wearing a diamond shaped chunk of kryptonite around her neck, every time clark gets within five feet of her, he's about ready to pass out.
There was several episodes with red kryptonite unleashing clark's inner jerk when it was put on him (necklace, ring, etc).
there has also been blue kryptonite (which makes clark as weak as a human, but it won't poison/kill him like green does), black kryptonite (which drives clark insane/paranoid), white kryptonite which gives clark mind control powers (people must do whatever he tells them to do), there's been some kind of rainbow kryptonite which does weird things, also there's been episodes where kryptonite has been mixed and matched with natural earth-based stuff that has changed it's effects around (such as red kryptonite lipstick making clark fall in love, etc)

Actually, Smallville kinda overdid it… Kryptonite necklaces, Kryptonite earrings, Kryptonite knives, Kryptonite tatoos, Kryptonite pills, Kryptonite batteries, Kryptonite injections… At least the air was not Kryptonite.
yeah they sure overdid it ..but you forgot kryptonite water and kryptonite plants & fruits… and im quite sure there was also a bullets and maybe even arrows made of it …
of i forgot one thing and well its that you were a bit wrong on the air thing as in the kryptonite hailstorm ( if thats the right word for that what happened ) the air went quite kryptonite and clark ( superman) had to do his best to avoid it or he would have but friends were in danger and so as always superman had to risk his life due to surtain death to aid his friends and ofcourse survived it
I remember there being 6 or 7 types of kryptonite in the comics, but anything but green was very rare. He currently has 5 in his Fortress and Bats has 3 or 4 different types in the Batcave. Some of them are completely harmless to Supes, and there's even one from Bizarro's world that rejuvenates him. Gold was the least used in the series as it would permanently remove a Kryptonian's powers. This is how Supes defeated Zod in the comics.
