It's Star Trek Friday! I couldn't resist putting this one out there on the day I get to see my pre-ordered, 3 disk DVD set of the most totally awesome franchise restart. Full of action, adventure, not-so-logical StarTech, and basically a good time all around. And I'll be seeing it with a homemade pizza, a cold beer, and maybe even some chocolate.
What a prime movie experience it'll be.
On Monday we rejoin Nicky and Lex down at the aquarium!
Just gotta have today's crowtoon on your wall? Or on your very own self? Then it's time to visit The Nicky Store!

Hmm…Ken must be playing the part of Sarek!
I really like how you drew the Vulcan ears, quite amazing! ONE TRILLION THUMBS UP! Hey, can I borrow 299,999,999,998 thumbs from somebody?
Vulcan ears are a specialty of mine. And I have so few opportunities to use it …
“Non-nutritional” doesn’t seem to work on this planet. Twinkies and anything made by Little Debbie hardly even qualifies as food!
But the ears ARE nice…. Live long and eat Binkycakes.

Yes, good ears. The eyebrows made Vulcan-Nicky look rather scornful, though; I suppose he’s letting his human emotions through. }:^| (Vulcan emoticon — the only expression ever needed, I reflect.)
.-= Roth´s last blog ..I don’t need coffee. I need an elixir. =-.
I see Vulcan-Nicky’s look as simply thoughtful. All Vulcan eyebrows go up like that so they tend to give one the sense of scorn/distain. One has to have a finely tuned sensibility to discern the subtleties of Vulcan facial expression
I suppose so. They just stand out that way in particular against his dad’s — but then, Nicky doesn’t reflect his dad’s temperament entirely in reality, either. Much like Calvin and his dad, the two are (I LOVE the Calvin&Hobbes-ness of your strip, btw!).
Vulcan eyebrows…nah, they wouldn’t fix the cynical look of my avatar. Of all pics, why’d I get that one?
Roth – You can easily change your gravatar to whatever image you want – if you want. What you’ve got is just the randomly assigned one for someone who doesn’t have their own.
Oh – and big thanks for the nice words about Nicky510. Much appreciated!
She never leaves the kid alone, does she? *Sigh* The perfect incarnation of the most annoying parents
Ah! Big Trek fan. It was my first favorite show. Even before I could walk if I heard the theme song I’d scoot across the house, into the living room, and plant my bottom right in front of the TV. Crow, you have made my day.
That’s what I always try to do!
I taught myself how to raise my right eyebrow, like Spock (I can do the left one, too, but it’s trickier). Anyway, I used to have specs with quite large frames, which hid my rather bushy eyebrows until I raised them, so it was somewhat akin to a caterpillar on a trampoline…
I was once told off by my Math teacher for raising my eyebrow skeptically at her

What you need to work on is alternating right/left/right/left …
