My stack of Chuckle-A-Ducks has grown large indeed and the solution is a simple one. More Chuckle-A-Ducks for everyone! And so, this coming week will bring us a solid five of 'em, all designed to amuse you, gentle reader.
If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
Benjamin Franklin
Ben usually had something to say worth hearing and this is one of his better ones, imho. Remember that old saying "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. TEACH a man to fish, feed him for life."? Ben is going one better here. He's not waiting for anyone to offer to teach him to fish – he's gonna grab that know-how himself. He knows it might cost him something (buying the books, paying the teacher). The way he sees it, though, is that it's not an expense but an investment. If you spend your money in order to increase your skills or knowledge, you'll make back your investment and more. Because you're investing in the awesomeness of YOU.
And let's not forget, time is money. Want to get an awesome backhand? Put in the hours on the court.
Hours or dollars, if you're spending it to make yourself better, it's worth it.
